For over 75 years, Australian’s iconic brand Caroma has been the nation’s leader in both bathroom ware and kitchenware as well as a highly coveted international supplier of stylish, trusted products.
Renowned for its sleek modern designs and unique water-saving features, Caroma is now embarking on a new, exciting venture by opening its first flagship store in Adelaide – the city where Caroma was founded back in 1941 by visionary entrepreneur and inventor Charles Rothauser.
The Caroma on the Parade flagship store in Norwood features six life-sized capsules curated by top Australian designers and renovators including furniture designer Mark Tuckey, interior designer Alice Catford, Adelaide super-renovators Carly Schulz and Leighton Brow (winners of the first series of House Rules and runners up on Reno Rumble), the Outdoors on the Parade team, as well as Caroma in-house designers Leonie Brickwood and Nathalie Rivet.
Each capsule will showcase the best of Caroma’s extensive range of baths, basins, toilet suites, tapware, showers, accessories and more.
Caroma will kick off the store launch by hosting a VIP event on October 17 featuring some of the esteemed curators such as Mark Tuckey, and Carly and Leighton.
Mark says the sleek lines of Caroma’s signature products greatly appealed to his own design aesthetic when putting together his capsule.
“I liked the clean, straight lines and square styling of Caroma’s Teo 2.0 basin with the thin rim which compliments my own minimalist style,” he says. “I also liked the use of the Caroma Eco Noir exposed bottle trap which gives some style to the attachment under the basin, to give the space an industrial look and feel.”
The unique Caroma on the Parade space will be the first supplier-owned bathroom and kitchens showroom in Adelaide. Apart from the curated spaces and the abundance of natural elements, it features one of Australia’s largest working shower and tapware displays which incorporates a water recycling system. Additionally, a handy card system helps visitors understand and distinguish the differences of various products such as the many variations of bathroom basins.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing our very first Caroma flagship store to Adelaide given Caroma’s extensive history here,” says Caroma CEO Tim Salt. “The store is highly innovative and has been designed to world-class standards by leading Australian architect Joe Snell. The showroom brings your renovations or new build to life with our highly skilled design experts helping you every step of the way.”
Another exciting innovative feature – The Design Hub – is a unique interactive experience aimed to educate and simplify the process of renovating or building a new bathroom. On hand will be life-sized building blocks which visitors can move around a floor grid representing their own bathroom space.
The Caroma on the Parade flagship store is a unique experience not to be missed, showcasing the best of what Caroma has to offer and exemplifies why Caroma is still the innovation leader for bathroom and kitchen wares.
