Carrick Hill Bursts Into Bloom With Annual Native Flower Show

Witness Carrick Hill become impossibly more beautiful this week with their annual native flower show!

What screams spring more than flowers? And what screams South Australian history more than the lovely Carrick Hill?

If both those things sound like your cup of tea, then you better get excited about the Flower Show at Carrick Hill from September 12–16, showcasing a stunning array of native Australian flora.

Starting today, you can wander through the Carrick Hill house and fawn over some of the prettiest, expert flower arrangements, crafted by Carrick Hill volunteers, The Petals, along with the Woodville Academy of Floral Design, SA Members of Sogetsu Ikebana, Caroline Wotton from The Flower Room, and the Australian Plant Society.

While you’re there, don’t just feast your eyes! Why not stick around for the daily high tea? There are morning (11am) and afternoon (2pm) sittings to suit whatever your schedule may be and tickets to the high tea include entry to the house too:

Package 1 – $41.50 – Entry into the house + flower show and high tea.
Package 2 – $49.50 – Entry into the house + flower show and high tea + a glass of sparkling wine.
Children – $19 – Entry into the house + flower show, mini high tea, and a drink.

Carrick Hill will also be holding a special viewing night on Friday 14 September, where you can indulge in the gorgeous Australian blooms and displays throughout the house to a lovely background soundtrack of classical guitarist Caleb Lavery.

Time: 5:30pm – 7:30pm
Tickets: $17 pp (or $12 for Friends of Carrick Hill)

Just a note that bookings for the high teas and the special viewing night are essential. Secure your high tea spot here and take care of your Friday night here.

And if you just want to spend a lazy day at the flower show, you can grab your tickets at the door. General admission is $17 Adult and $12 Concession. Easy peasy – that’s spring sorted!
