Catering Mum and Son Take Out Coveted SA Award of Excellence

Mum and son catering duo, took out the prestigious SA Restaurant and Catering Association Awards of Excellence for SA Small Caterer of the Year 2011 last night.

Less than a year since creating kristian’s katerSA, the pair has left their mark in South Australia’s highly established and quality driven food industry.

The black tie gala dinner, held at the Convention Centre played platform for the ultimate award in South Australian hospitality.

Food savvy owners, mother and son duo, Annie and Kristian can now claim their spot next to iconic, experienced and coveted award winners from across the state.

Based on the ethos of creating a memorable event through exquisite cuisine and excellence in customer service, the Glenelg based pair claims their success is due to the amazing local produce they use.

“We use abundant fresh herbs from a local farm and fruit and vegetables from Seacliff. These growers should be as proud as we are," says creator and head chef Kristian Nesbitt.

Annie says it is a 'wonderful compliment' from the industry for such a small business and shows that they are being taken seriously.

"We have created the path and vision for our partnership over such a long time and it’s obviously paid off”, Annie says.
