Who doesn’t love a tasting day? Better yet, how about a tasting tour? Travelling to a cellar door, distillery, or brewery to sample some delicious drops can make for an excellent day trip or weekend getaway, but have you ever thought to yourself, wouldn’t it be great if I could try a range of different drinks from different producers, all in the same place?
Well, now you can! We’ve discovered an enchanting, one-of-a-kind tasting festival in Adelaide this November, where you can taste a dazzling variety of local wines, beers, and spirits. Who needs a cellar door when you can get the best of the booze world in one room?
On Sunday, November 17th, take a trip down to Ikaros Hall in Unley for the first ever ‘Sunday Crafternoon’. At this free event, you can celebrate and try the best in local and small batch booze producers in one location, offering tastings of delicious, locally made wines, beers, spirits, and the new collection of Vitis Virgin Spritzer non-alcoholic beverages.
The full list of contributing producers at Sunday Crafternoon includes: Coulter Wines, an independent winemaker from the Barossa Valley; Fitz & Gibbon, a single vineyard producer from the Picadilly Valley; MF Wine, also from the Barossa; independent winemaker The Nimble Vintner; local brewers The Suburban Brew; Adelaide Hills distillers Sqaure 1 Gin; Vitis Sprizter; and XO Wine Co, is a small boutique winery just out of Meadows in the Adelaide Hills.
Bab’s Greek BBQ will also be dishing up some traditional Greek goodness from midday. And the best part? Entry is free, and includes a Lehmann tasting glass that each guest can take home.
