Celebrate Silly Season Under a Vineyard Sunset

When the rellies have finally gone, the last piece of pudding has been eaten and you’re well and truly sick of cold turkey, it’s time to jump in the car and head South to enjoy a glass of premium McLaren Vale wine and some of Adelaide’s coolest music surrounded by rolling vistas and the setting sun.

The hospitable team at Leconfield Wines are inviting families to celebrate the silly season at their third Syn @ Sunset celebrations on the beautiful, sprawling lawned area out front of their Cellar Door, overlooking some of the region’s most impressive vineyards and views.

“This is a great opportunity to warm up for the New Year whilst enjoying a glass or two of Leconfield Syn or tipple of choice,” says Events Manager at Leconfield, Rina Lockwood.

“The event will be fabulous in the summer weather, and visitors will be able to enjoy great wine, food and entertainment with their favourite people in this gorgeous part of the world.”

Guests will be well catered for with wood-oven pizza by ‘All Fired Up,’ vege-burgers by ‘The Green Room Café or Leconfield’s own pre-order hampers. BYO picnics are also welcome.

Local up-and-coming band, Laura Hill & The Tuesday Bandits, will delight with music that has a sense of beauty and playfulness while remaining heartfelt and exceedingly warm. There is a definite Aussie flavour to their music which traverses the range from original, thoughtful acoustic tunes to fun, high-spirited blues and reggae numbers which will encourage people to put on their dancing shoes.

Laura and the bandits have been the popular support act in recent times to a number of Aussie music icons including Kate Ceberano, Tim Rogers, James Reyne and Mark Seymour. Leconfield are proud that Laura has chosen this event as part of her official tour to launch her new CD- The Guava Tree – which will be available to purchase on the night.
