Celebrate the Thai Guy’s first birthday with a special three-course feast and wine tasting

The Thai Guy is celebrating its first birthday with a specially curated three-course menu, an exclusive wine tasting, and a lively party!

This February, the Thai Guy is raising a glass and throwing a party to celebrate their very first birthday, and they’re inviting you to join! Kick back and celebrate as Chef Terry Intarakhamhaeng whips up a three-course feast at lunch and dinner, or relaxed nibbles and drinks in the afternoon.

Chef Intarakhamhaeng launched the Thai Guy last year but has a heap of experience working at and owning restaurants in Adelaide. He first opened the popular Thai restaurant Soi 38 in 2014, and the now-closed Fire. With The Thai Guy, Terry brings together the flavours of Bangkok street food with charcoal cooking and a laid-back chill vibe.

Kick off the festivities with a complimentary glass of Solara prosecco to celebrate. If you’re in the lunch or dinner session, start the meal off with delicious Coffin Bay oysters with Thai chilli sauce nam jim talay or a radish canapé. Then for the first course enjoy Miang Kham Platter with a choice of protein and beef or beetroot tartare with a sesame cracker. For the second course delight in a 5 spice pork hock with a steamed bun and pickled mustard greens, or try the 5 spice tofu and shiitake. Then try a BBQ chicken larb or mushroom larb, and end the course with fruit som tum. To complete the meal, enjoy stir-fried Asian greens with steamed rice, accompanied by either a choo chee fish curry or yellow curry cauliflower.

This entire experience is available for just $69 per person, with an optional bottomless drinks package.

As for the afternoon session, this will be $29 per person and include beef or beetroot tartare, prawn toast or tofu satay toast, lui suan veg noodle rolls, mini sai au hot dog or radish canapé, and a crispy eggplant slider. Additionally, guests can enjoy a wine tasting with Geoff from Grounded Cru, featuring The Thai Guy’s best-selling wine of the year—the Grounded Cru Pinot Gris.

No birthday party is complete without decorations, and The Thai Guy will feature an epic balloon installation and photo opportunities to mark the occasion.

This birthday event offers the perfect opportunity to experience The Thai Guy’s signature Bangkok-inspired flavours, lively atmosphere, and community spirit—so grab a spot and join the feast!
