Chinese New Year is the most important and longest celebration in the Chinese calendar. Usually falling in February, festivities continue for 15 days for this colourful, cultural event.
Celebrate the year of the rabbit in South Australia’s multicultural precinct by experiencing diverse cultures through food, dance and music on Saturday 5th of February. Fast becoming an Adelaide tradition, Moonta Street will be packed with stalls, providing food from Nepal, Malaysia, Japan, China and many more.
Lion Dancers, Taichi, martial arts and firecrackers will be just some of the entertainment of the day. Festivities will begin from midday and carry through, with Gouger Street, Grote Street and China Town coming to life.
