Not many things scream Winter like hot soup and a roaring fire so why not embrace the cooler weather with a night of just that up in the beautiful Adelaide Hills.
Tucked away in the Northern reaches of the region, Gumeracha is a quaint, historical town that just happens to throw a pretty good Winter Solstice Party!
Held by the local Gumeracha community, the Winter Solstice Soup and Fire Night is a family-friendly event and serves as a chance to come together in an evening of wholesome fun while celebrating Winter and what the season represents.
Kicking off at 4pm, you can enjoy a range of hot soups (vegan and vegetarian options will be available) while gathering around fire pits and connecting with new friends and old. There’ll be a number of games to be played on the night to help warm you up and you better believe there will be an abundance of marshmallows ready to be toasted and roasted to perfection over the open flames.
Guests are encouraged to come along and settle in for the evening bringing picnic chairs, rugs, cushions..whatever you need for a cosy night out. Plus, it’s BYO!
Where possible, everyone is asked to bring a log to throw on the fire to keep it burning all night long!
The event is ticketed and must be purchased in advance. Being the Adelaide Hills in Winter, the weather could go against you. If that’s the case, the event will be cancelled and all tickets will be fully refunded.
