One of the most important days on the calendar is upon us and with it, an event that is not to be missed.
Falling on Saturday June 11th, World Gin Day is a celebration of all things gin and the great joy it brings into our lives, something our good friends at The Duck Inn can get around.

Situated at the foot of the picturesque Adelaide Hills, The Duck is one of the region’s most popular pubs and with its inviting interior and outdoor decking, open fireplaces and quality food, it’s the perfect setting for a cosy day in The Hills and perhaps say, a gin masterclass!
Hosted by Kangaroo Island Spirits, The Duck’s World Gin Day Gin Masterclass offers guests a chance to taste some of the award-winning gin range from the SA distillery, with each drop expertly paired with a delish dish of food.
The pairings include:
KIS Wild (G&T) w Karaage Chicken
KIS O’Gin (Pavlova Cocktail) w Lamb Sliders
KIS Mulberry Gin (Bramble Cocktail) w Duck Tacos
KIS Old Tom (Smoked Old Fashioned) w Chorizo Sausage & Romesco
Not only that, but each ticket holder will take home a KI Spirits gift pack consisting of 3 x 200ml bottles of KIS gin!

If you’re unable to make it up the hills but still looking for that relaxed, pub vibe to celebrate World Gin Day, there is plenty going on closer to home.
The Colonist, The Mile End Hotel, Victoria Hotel, Brighton Metro and The Parkside are all offering an array of gin specials for you to either pop in and pay your respects to the juniper drop or stop for an extended stay. The Brighton and Parkside both have newly renovated, heated and covered beer gardens that are perfect for a chilly Winter’s afternoon.

South Australia has become Australia’s unofficial gin capital so it seems only right that we celebrate it in a way that only we would know how.
The Duck’s World Gin Day Gin Masterclass is on Saturday June 11 from 12pm.
