Following the huge success of last year’s event, the Cellar Door Wine Festival is back – running from Friday the 24th to Sunday the 26th of February 2012.
The Adelaide Convention Centre will play host to this year’s festival, where wine lovers can explore 12 iconic South Australian Wine regions as well as enjoy unlimited wine tastings from more than 150 of South Australia’s best wineries. But did you know that its not only wine tasting that’s on offer? The festival also offers beer, cider and liqueur tastings, so there really is something for everyone.
As well as having the best South Australian wines on show, the Cellar Door Wine Festival gives you the chance to sample some of the yummiest food in South Australian at the Regional Farmers Market. As well as having all kinds of fresh produce on offer, visitors are able to indulge in delicious coffee and sweet treats at the Bracegirdle’s Café.
Cellar Door Wine Festival is not only a sensory adventure but can also be an educational one, with trained wine educators teaching visitors about the unique qualities of select wines. Visitors have the opportunity to take part in one of the many Master Classes on offer, whether you’re a wine pro or just enjoy a good drop, there is a class to suit everyone – but classes sell out fast, so book now!
Throughout the weekend your ears will also be given a treat with live entertainment throughout the festival, creating an amazing atmosphere.
Why not make it a family occasion? The kids will love the Kidz Zone with all sorts of exciting activities like face painting and colouring in competitions.
The Cellar Door Wine Festival kicks off this Friday, the 24th, at 5pm, so buy your tickets now or grab them at the gate. But whatever you do, don’t miss out on this amazing event.
