CFS volunteer needs your help to free his grounded boat before next storm hits

CFS volunteer, Claude Evans, needs your help to free his yacht from the North Haven shore.

Victoria Evans has set up a Go Fund Me to help her dad, Claude Evans, free his grounded yacht from the North Haven shore.

Claude was attempting to sail the yacht to Port Wakefield, but his maiden voyage took a turn for the worse.

Unfortunately, the boat became grounded in rough weather, and Victoria is now calling on the community to help before the situation worsens.

Claude is a dedicated CFS volunteer who helped fight the ferocious bushfires that impacted Bundaleer and Port Pirie earlier in the year.

He is also a volunteer driver for Families SA, helping families who are experiencing hardship in the community.

Claude is now working to free his boat from the shoreline, and has used his own funds to pay for excavators to try to dig the yacht out.

The plan is to move the yacht onto a trailer and transport it to Port Pirie to have it repaired.

The funds raised will help free the yacht, and hopefully repair any damage made in the unfortunate incident.

Claude is wanting to restore the yacht back to its former beauty, and have it out sailing once again.
