In celebration of World Diabetes Day on November 14, Diabetes Counselling Online will turn the Channel 9 Telethon Distinctive Homes Lottery House BLUE for one day only! In line with the Internationally recognised Blue Circle campaign, the one-off event is set to raise awareness of the impact diabetes has on our community.
Collaborating with the Channel 9 Telethon, Adelaide based charity Diabetes Counselling Online is excited to be taking over the Distinctive Home and Land Lottery house, marking the occasion with a host of festivities surrounding World Diabetes Day. Locals will also be able to view the spectacular house on offer to the winner of the Channel 9 Telethon, as well as meet Diabetes Councillor’s.
The Charity’s Founder, Helen Edwards, will also be in attendance on the day. Available for a chat over afternoon tea, Helen’s company will provide locals with the perfect opportunity to talk to someone who cares over a delicious cup of tea and a slice of cake, as well as enjoy the rest of the day’s festivities.
With 280 people diagnosed with diabetes in Australia per day, diabetes is everyone’s business. The chance to raise awareness of this figure and make a difference is not to be missed.
