It’s time to don your top hats and grab your cane, for the most extravagant ball of the year.
Charlie and the Chocolate Ball will take over Adelaide Oval to bring you a night full of all your childhood fantasies. For those lucky enough to secure a golden ticket to this event, the night will be a trip down memory lane with lots and lots of chocolate on Saturday, October 15.
With Lindt Chocolatier sponsoring the night, the endless chocolate delights will make you feel like you’ve just stepped into Willy Wonka’s factory. The dress code is strictly black tie with a touch of imagination, perfectly fitting with the theme of the night.
The Charlie Teo Foundation has so far contributed $9 million to brain cancer research globally and helps to support over 20 research projects in both child and adult brain cancer. The event is a unique experience for guests to contribute to such an important cause.
Speaking on the night will be Charlie Teo himself, a world-renowned neurosurgeon and founder of the Charlie Teo Foundation. Attendees will have the opportunity to understand the cause they’re supporting by listening Charlie Teo’s experiences in the field.
With a three-course meal, you might even find yourself turning violet as you indulge yourself in some of Jim Barry’s premium South Australian wines. The evening will be hosted by Channel Nine News presenter Peter Overton in the Ian McLachlan Room, giving guests the perfect view of Adelaide oval at twilight.
Tickets are priced at $300 per person and tables of ten can also be purchased for $3000, with the profits going towards the foundation. Each ticket bought for the event will also put you in the running to win a brand-new Toyota Yaris.
There will also be a live auction on the night, with a silent auction already open to bidders online. The night is set to be a whirl, with Adelaide’s Mr Buzzy Band set to take the stage.
