Langhorne Creek’s beloved Handpicked Festival is making an epic return in style on Saturday, November 11th, 2023, hosting its most significant lineup to date at Lake Breeze Wines.

The festival has weathered a three-year hiatus due to an unprecedented weather event and COVID-19, causing two postponements, but now it’s back with a stellar array of artists ready to rock the stage.

Chart-toppers Lime Cordiale, indie rock band Ball Park Music, folk sensation Ziggy Alberts, internationally acclaimed band The Temper Trap, folk-rock legends The Waifs, and captivating gospel singer Budjerah are all set to grace the Handpicked stage, promising an unforgettable experience for music lovers.

ARIA award winners, Lime Cordiale, known for their infectious performances and groovy sounds, are sure to get the crowd on their feet. Kate Cooper, the Handpicked creator, expressed her excitement, stating, “They really fit our vibe at Handpicked.”

“With more than one million albums sold, a number one album in their homeland and arena support
tours with Coldplay and the Rolling stones, we are pretty stoked to have secured such an Australian
success story in our line up,” said Kate Cooper.

Brisbane band Ball Park Music will bring their unique blend of indie rock and pop, and their return after not performing in the Handpicked backyard since 2018 is anticipated with enthusiasm.

Indie-folk sensation Ziggy Alberts, fresh from sold-out shows across the globe, is set to captivate audiences once again with hits from his iconic album “Laps Around the Sun” and his more recent works.

The Temper Trap, with their unique blend of indie rock, pop, and electronic music, will delight festival-goers with their biggest hits. The Waifs, celebrating thirty years in the music industry, will take the crowd on a journey through their biggest hits, while Budjerah, the two-time ARIA award-winning Coodjinburra artist, will impress with his new hit single “Therapy” and album “Conversations.”

Local artists aleksiah and Rob Edwards will also showcase their unique sounds, adding to the complete sensory experience that the family-run event offers.

Following last year’s heartbreaking cancellation, the Handpicked community’s outpouring of support has been overwhelming, and the festival-goers are urged to secure their tickets quickly, as thirty percent have already been sold.

The Handpicked Festival’s comeback has been made possible through the support of the Department for Industry, Innovation and Science, and the South Australian Tourism Commission.

Minister for Arts, the Hon, Andrea Michaels MP, stated, “The Malinauskas Government is proud to support the return of Handpicked Festival, attracting some huge names in Australian music to Langhorne Creek for a celebration of good music, local food, and wine.”

“Our Live Music Events Fund was established to help festivals like Handpicked grow into major
tourist drawcards, which not only provide jobs for local musicians and crews but benefit
small communities,” said Minister for Arts, the Hon, Andrea Michaels MP.
