Chase Away the Winter Blues at d’Arry’s Verandah Restaurant

darenbergWith breathtaking views overlooking the rolling hills of McLaren Vale, d’Arry’s Verandah Restaurant is the idyllic place for an unforgettable dining experience during every season of the year. The new winter menu has just been released, and as winter is all about comfort food and the familiar, head chef Pete Reschke and the team at d’Arenberg are celebrating the favourites of menus past.

After nine years at the helm Pete and his wife Jo, who looks after front of house duties, have developed a great understanding of what keeps diners returning to the Verandah. Pete observes; “We change our menu seasonally but in winter we like to look back and pick out the highlights from the past year. We tweak some elements to reflect the fruit and vegetables that are currently in season but the core dishes remain the same. My personal favourite this time round is the pork belly that we slow roast and serve with an Asian pork dumpling accompanied by green beans, dried olives and water chestnut. It is rich and warming with a hint of the exotic.”

For those who like to go all the way, d’Arry’s Verandah Restaurant offers an eight course degustation option with wine pairings for each course selected from the amazing d’Arenberg stable of wines.

d’Arry’s Verandah Restaurant is open 7 days for lunch, while evenings and functions are by arrangement. Call 08 8329 4848 to book.
