Chateau Tanunda Wines Claim International Success

Château Tanunda’s ‘The Everest’ wines have won two gold trophies at the prestigious 2010 International Wine and Spirit Competition.

Château Tanunda’s 2005 The Everest Shiraz emerged as the best of 450 wines in the Shiraz class from northern and southern hemispheres.Everest won the trophy for Best Shiraz/Syrah in the World.

The wine was described by judges as having a "fantastic nose, framboise, Madagascar spices, cherries in chocolate, licorice, dried herb and vanilla .  This enormous complexity delivered with proud elegance and style".

The 2008 The Everest Grenache picked up the trophy for Best Single Vineyard Red Wine.

Owned by John Geber, the Château Tanunda Estate is located in the iconic wine region, Barossa Valley. All their premium wines are uncrushed, basket presses and unfiltered to allow the true flavours of the grapes to express themselves.
