We’ve got some of the best pizza here in South Australia, and we want to entail you on a journey to share the love. And with it being World Pizza Day today, there’s no better excuse to check out some of the best pizza spots in SA.

Here’s our list on some of our local fan favourites!

Sunny’s Pizza

Known to pizza-lovers on a hearty bite out before a big night as simply ‘Sunny’s’, this party of a pizza bar is worth all the hype. Keeping to their traditional roots, find a contemporary menu divided simply as ‘Pizza’ and ‘Not Pizza’.

With warm vibes coming from their kitchen, their ‘Need For Feed’ sharing option is sure to have you thinking you should’ve worn looser pants. We recommend ordering a Watermelon Cosmo (Shh.. it’s not even on the menu) with a their signature Eggplant Parmi pizza.

The winery trip favourite, featuring southern Italian traditions in South Australian conditions. Appreciate neapolitan style pizzas with that authentic chewy and crunchy factor.

Save the sports bar and enjoy unmissable hand-made pizza with seasonal local ingredients. We recommend enjoying a signature cocktail with a ‘Gambero’ pizza that includes prawns, chili, zucchini, mozzarella and pancetta.

400 Gradi Norwood

The Melbourne import, 400 Gradi Norwood hit the Norwood Parade with a bang! With a stunning fit-out with polished concrete floor and lavish terazzo tables, make sure to check out the two heavy duty Italian imported wood ovens.

This menu is sure a pizza-lovers delight. Sip away at an extensive South Australian featuring wine list while enjoying a a slice of their award-winning margherita pizza.

Pizza Meccanica

Quite the highlight of Hawker Street in Bowden, Pizza Meccanica provides an upbeat vibe accompanied with a traditional Italian pizza menu.

Think salame or quattro formaggi not super supreme or a hawaiian special. Perfect for big groups and private functions, sit back and order away while appreciating this mechanical workshop inspired fit-out.

Chicco Palms

Previously renowned by west-side locals as the former ‘Barnacle Bills’ site, Chicco Palms is sure to impress. Decorated in swanky nostalgic photographs and featuring a palm springs vibe, this California-inspired pizza joint is quite the talking point.

Perfect for an insta upload, their crisp white besser-brick façade out front adds the extra in extra-ordinary. Make sure to accompany your porchetta pizza with a classic red Peroni beer tin.

La Trattoria Restaurant & Pizza Bar

Brasco’s Pizzeria

With a hard to miss mural of famed soccer great Diego Armando Maradona, Brasco’s Pizzeria has been previously crowned as Adelaide’s best pizza shop. Check out their namesake pizza, is a white pizza with fior di latte, parmesan, pancetta, black truffle, mushroom, rosemary and olive oil.

All about the hustle and bustle on the even busy Pirie Street, these ovens are fired by pizza artisans and fuelled with seasonal ingredients.

Prestigiously known as Amalfi’s, this classic establishment may not actually be overlooking the Amalfi Coast but is certainly worth all the buzz.

With a menu thats stayed similar to their 35 years of operations in the heart of the CBD, their spinacci pizza will be hankering you to take any leftovers home for a sneaky late night bite.

The new kid on the block. With a name that could double as a Coachella headliner, you’ll be sure to check this pizza joint out on the prowl.

The North Adelaide staple, how can we not mention their complimentary olive antipasti served upon being seated. Be bestowed at Tony Tomatoes, with their offering of a 72 hour classically proved white, high protein base along with a gluten free and super-duper light wholemeal base.

Grab a Tony Pepperoni for a a mouth-watering mix of tomato, mozzarella, mushrooms, pepperoni (well-duh!), olives, chilli and parsley.

See why this neighbourhood pizza bar is a local favourite in Kent Town. Brothers Anthony and Luke, offer house-made naturally leavened sourdough pizzas with locally sourced produce.

Sporting their ‘PNV’ van a nostalgic Suzuki Carry truck for deliveries, these guys don’t mess around with their passion for all things pizza. Pair a famed P&V Negroni with an ‘Artie Bucco’, an artichoke topped pizza enriched in a truffle oil dressing.

Anchovy Bandit

Now often associated with their sister store ‘Bottega Bandito’, Prospect’s cult pizza bar draws upon local ingredients and artisan quality.

Monday night’s have never looked better with their all you can eat pizza nights. $13 dollar Negronis and Spritz shoudl keep your thirst quenched when hitting those bottomless plates.
