Check Out These Art Lined Walls In One Of Adelaide’s Quirkiest Pubs

Why does The Colonist stand out? Not every pub has Gustav Klimt imitations, worn pop art, or a variety of pieces with a grungy theme lining the walls.

Our hipster colony can perk up their ears, whilst The Colonist Tavern, doesn’t seem like the most obvious artsy hub, we thought we’d pull some attention towards the pubs quirky decor and their eccentric vibe.

To each their own but this pub, which goes back to 1851, has an old school charm that is indented into the walls. The stripped walls in fact, with their original scenic wall paper, ornate copper roofing and high ceilings.

We love that grungy deconstructed vibe and to ensure that wer’re not only recommending heading there for the atmosphere, know that they have a great selection of craft beers, a boutique wine list and high quality pub grub.

In fact, a big calling for the Colonist is their weekend breakfast menu. A 9am to 2.3pm type of breakfast; after all, it’s the weekend, a late wake up is encouraged. Opting for the designer breakfast means you can pick and choose just exactly what ends up on your plate. A power we can all get behind.

Feeling artsy amongst all the Fringe happenings, it might do to head to The Colonist.
