Popular poultry pop-up Cheekies Hot Chicken, situated at BRKLYN Bar on Rundle Street, has announced two mouth-watering new competitions for gastronomical gladiators to take on.
The Taste challenge will feature a selection of the best of Cheekies on one platter, including a belly-busting feast of the popular Hot Chicken Sandos, Tenders, Jumbo Wings, Mac & Cheese and Crinkle Fries. With each sumptuous platter valued at over $60 those who take on the mountain of meat get the platter for free if they clear the plate within 20 minutes, with a Cheekies t-shirt chucked in so you can model your triumph with pride.
Putting the ‘hot’ in Cheekies Hot Chicken, the Nashville Super Hot Wings Challenge is for brave punters who fancy themselves as chilli champions, with a basket of wings coated in Cheekies’ Hot-Super Hot seasoning, which is made from a fearsome spice blend including Ghost Chilli and the hottest chilli in the world, the Carolina Reaper.
A beer or soft drink will also be provided for the wing-warriors to wash down the seriously spicy plateful. If the fiery feast is finished within 15 minutes, you can get the wing basket for free as well as an elusive Cheekies t-shirt.
With Cheekies in the process of opening their first bricks and mortar store later this year, photos of challenge conquerers will be in pride of place, decorating the walls of the new location.
