Cheeky Grin Coffee’s cart goes brick and mortar with Firle cafe

After only four months of operating out of a popular Easter-suburbs located cart, owner and barista Stefan Iannace has put down roots in a brick and mortar location in Firle.

If you’re inclined to a wander in the Eastern suburbs, you may have seen local coffee cart, Cheeky Grin Coffee stationed in a makeshift backyard setting.

After only four months of operating out of a cart, owner and barista Stefan Iannace has put down roots in a brick and mortar location in Firle.

Losing his barista job due to COVID-19 closures inspired Stefan to start the cart in his home shed.

This motivator to start up on his own two feet was helped by doing what he does best – coffee.

Cheeky Grin was initially operating only on Saturdays and Sundays, slinging coffees from early morning ’til 1pm.

“I was going through 10 kilos of coffees in two days, which is a lot of coffee,” Stefan says, earning him the nickname, the ‘Beast from the East’.

Cheeky Grin Coffee’s beans are sourced from roasters, Willow Bend Coffee who have won best roaster in Australia only two months ago.

Through their great coffee and service, Cheeky Grin has built a very strong customer base in the East, who Stefan describes as a large family.

The new shop is located in Firle, just two streets over from where the coffee cart used to be, off Magill and Glynburn Road.

The menu at the coffee shop will be self-manageable, simple and suitable for takeaway orders. Items on the cards include doughnuts, cakes, panini rolls, cakes, bagels, mueslis, smoothies, juices and all kinds of coffee.

Cheeky Grin Coffee is expected to open in mind-October located at 74A Gage Street, Firle, SA 5070.
