CheeseFest announces 2022 return with star studded chef lineup

This year’s CheeseFest is studded with new vendors, new artisans and unexpected surprises, while bringing back CheeseFest regulars that fans have come to know and love.

The most snackable three-day weekend of the year returns Friday 14 – Sunday 16 October 2022 in Rymill Park Murlawirrapurka with a melting pot of cheesemakers, great food, drinks and DANCING.

This year’s CheeseFest is studded with new vendors, new artisans and unexpected surprises, while bringing back CheeseFest regulars that fans have come to know and love.

This year, long term event ambassador Matt Preston will be joined by Gary Mehigan, with the duo excited to shine a light on South Australian food, culture and tourism while participating in the event through delivering what will be highly anticipated masterclasses at the CheeseFest Foodland Cooking Demo stage over the three days.

CheeseFest attendees on the lookout for a good time will be delighted to hear that the 2022 iteration of CheeseFest includes a plethora of exciting new concepts including the High Noon Saloon, a new offering with country music, whisky and of course, cheese.

For lovers of distilled drinks there will be dedicated bars serving delicious and locally made Gin, Whiskey and Liqueurs, and for those who are interested in understanding the method behind the craftsmanship, CheeseFest 2022 has a series of intimate sessions with winemakers, distillers, cheesemakers and renowned chefs including the likes of Simon Bryant, Karena Armstrong and Jake Kellie programmed across the weekend.

Cheesemaker and CheeseFest Director Kris Lloyd AM said, “We are thrilled to be bringing CheeseFest back, bigger and better in 2022. After years of restrictions on gatherings, events and dancing I think everyone is eager to connect in spaces like CheeseFest once again.”

“It’s been absolutely humbling to see the excitement and support from Cheese Makers and artisans across South Australia and the country keen to be a part of the festival this year. Cheese lovers can expect an abundance of great cheeses and demonstrations from some of the country’s most infamous creators.

“With the borders open we will welcome our interstate cheese makers once again adding to the glorious world of cheese on offer this year.

“CheeseFest has grown to become the largest cheese festival in Australia subsequently attracting incredible talent from across the country,” Kris says.
