Chef Duncan Welgemoed, the South African-born, French-trained chef behind Adelaide’s Africola restaurant, is taking his renowned African-inspired cuisine to Fiji this January. Following his success in Adelaide, Duncan will host four exclusive dining events in Fiji, offering travellers the chance to experience his menus that fuse local Fijian ingredients with bold global flavours.

- Dop & Chop (InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa): A three-course gastronomic journey at Navo Signature Restaurant on January 16th to 17th. Expect dishes like raw snapper with coconut milk and slow-smoked wagyu rump.
- Shebeen Pop-Up (InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa): On January 19th, this elevated street food experience at Kama Lounge will feature creative bites such as BBQ snapper baguette and cauliflower shawarma.
- Eating House Beachside BBQ (InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa): A relaxed beachfront BBQ at Kama Beachfront on January 20th, celebrating bold and smoky flavors.
- The Real Makoya Grand Harbour Feast (Grand Pacific Hotel): The grand finale on January 23rd at Na Toba Poolside in Suva. This lavish event will feature Africola’s signature dishes, live entertainment, and a Polynesian fire show.
