Summer is about to get hotter with Chilli Fest coming to Willunga.
From Saturday February 19 to Sunday February 20 2022, Chilli Fest will be bringing a weekend of all things spicy.
From 10am until 4pm each day, the festival will take over Willunga Recreation Park with market stalls offering chilli products galore.
Some star goods you can look forward too include sauces, jams, pastes, pickles, condiments, oils and of course, chilli and chilli plants.
There will be artisan stalls across the weekend presenting chilli inspired cards, clothing, jewellery and chopping boards for the kitchen.
Chilli Fest will host chilli related demonstrations to learn all there is to know about heating your tastebuds. There will be tastings across the weekend to test how much flame you can handle, while visitors will also have the chance to learn how to grow chilli themselves.
While the kids might not be able to handle the spice, there will be colouring in to keep them entertained on the family friendly day.
Along with all the peppers, visitors will be able to enjoy local craft beer, wine and sangria to cool their tastebuds.
Chilli inspired food will be served across the weekend including nachos, tacos, paella and burgers and live music will soundtrack the glorious day.
The festival will also feature a Chilli Con Carne cook off competition on both days from 7am-9am. Chilli will be served and winners will be announced to see who can cook up the best chilli.
Chilli Fest is an annual event that has always attracted crowds, with pretty much all cultures embracing the taste sensation.
It presents the opportunity to meet chilli producers and discover a little chilli history along the way and see how much spice you can take.
Tickets are $10 for those 17 and older, with free entry for those under 17.
Chilli Fest will run Saturday February 19 to Sunday February 20 2022, from 10am until 4pm each day.
