Choose Your Own Valentine Adventure: Sunset Dining Or A French-Inspired Diner en Ville?

Because every couple is different, Stamford Grand and Stamford Plaza have two different, but equally delightful Valentine’s dinners to choose from.

When it comes to the relationships we celebrate on Valentine’s Day, every couple is different. You might prefer a beachside view or crave a late night walk amidst city lights after dinner — but we all have one thing in common. The way to anyone’s heart is through their stomach, so make sure you book a gorgeous dinner!

After an impressive, panoramic oceanfront view? The sun will set over you and your loved one at this four-course dinner at the Stamford Grand, Promenade Restaurant.

Tantalise your tastebuds with an asparagus panna cotta with olive tapenade, followed by a shared entrée of beetroot cured salmon with salmon pate, pickled beet and chia and linseed crackers.

Pick your main from goat cheese and thyme filled chicken, wrapped in prosciutto and served on puy lentils and roasted shallots or barramundi fillet with verjuice and sautéed greens. Finish the meal with a strawberry and white chocolate mille-feuille.

Tickets are $85pp and also include a glass of Mumm Champagne on arrival. Call 8375 0622 to book your spot or head over here.

The Skyline Giant Ferris Wheel is also in Glenelg for a few more weeks, so why not end the night with a sky high ride after dinner?

Alternatively, if you’re looking for an aphrodisiac-filled, French-inspired meal, that is both highly impressive and exceptional value, maybe this four-course Argentinean dinner at La Boca Bar & Grill, Stamford Plaza is more your thing.

Start the experience with foie gras rocher, bite-sized savoury foie gras ganache filled with hazelnut and coated with dark chocolate, served with a glass of sparkling wine.

The second course is seared scallop topped with slice summer truffle, passionfruit aioli, and rice puff, followed by the third course of sous vide 150g eye fillet and lobster tail thermidor, served with romesco.

Your last course will be a dessert of chocolate mousse, chocolate tuile, chocolate praline bites, and chocolate truffle. Talk about a mood maker!

There are two sittings available, one from 6pm to 8pm and the second from 8:30pm to late. This dinner is $70 per person and you can book by calling 8461 0394 or heading over here.

Whichever dinner experience suits your taste more, either option is sure to impress your significant other — just make sure you get in quick to secure your spot.
