To celebrate International Donut Day, we have the distinct pleasure of announcing that CJ’s Bakery has the #1 Chocolate Donut in Australia.
The team at CJ’s bakery have recently been awarded first place in the National Donut Competition at Baking Industry Trade Show with their delicious baked goods hosted in Melbourne on June 1.
Not to mention that they also won silver for their Jam Donut and Vanilla Slice Donut.
After buying the 33-year-old business eleven and a half years ago, the team at CJ’s has worked tirelessly to revamp the shop into what you see today.
Hot off their win of best Hot Cross Bun this past Easter, the team at CJ’s are no stranger to winning big at the Trade Show.
After hearing the news, the team were ecstatic, and will sure to have a line around the block to try their award winning donuts.
Taking to their Facebook on Wednesday, the team at CJ’s said, “it was the National Donut Competition today in Melbourne at the Baking Industry Trade Show & we flew in some of our Donuts super early this morning for the very first time & we are so excited to share the results! Congratulations to Bec & Andrew for a great team effort!!”.
Other menu items recommended by Andrew, one of the Bakery’s owners, include their award-winning vanilla slices, steak pies, and even their loaves of sourdough. The bakery is one of the best in Australia and it’s seriously worth a trip down to Christies Beach.
