Christmas in July party to feature turkey burgers, 4m Santa and new gin launch

A 4-metre tall Santa, a Christmas turkey burger, and a newly-launched gin are just a few reasons why you should visit Imperial Measures Distilling.

Find your ugliest X-Mas sweater, because Imperial Measures Distilling is hosting an extraordinary Christmas in July party!

A 4-metre tall Santa, a Christmas turkey burger, and a newly-launched gin are just a few reasons why you should make the trip down to Thebarton this July.

Imperial Measures’ Marketing Manager, Simon Buckley, says the idea was born after the team had to isolate over Christmas due to covid.

“This is our first one [Christmas in July]. Basically, due to covid and me personally (I forced everyone into isolation) we had new gin recently and do an event and make up for it,” said Simon.

“We’re going to have a marquee set up and the whole place will be decked out in Christmas decorations. We also bought a 4m tall Santa – we’re not holding back! We would to make it amazing.

“Our ‘flavour wizard’, Elliott Kagi, does phenomenal burgers and specials every single week. He’s currently crafting a Christmas turkey burger. We’ve also got other local food vendors lining up and will be providing different food options on the day.”

As well as making up for a lost Christmas, the Imperial Measures team is also celebrating the launch of their Once Gin ‘Bright’.

Ounce Gin ‘Bright’ smells like lime, mint, dill, rose petals and pink pepper, and tastes like pink pepper, cardamom, nutmeg, ginger root, and liquorice root.

While the cocktail menu is still being finalised for the Christmas in July event, the new gin will undoubtedly take centre stage, alongside Fever-Tree Wild Raspberry Tonic, which is also launching on the day.

So if you’re in the mood for Christmas cocktails and burgers, great bands, and some good ol’ holiday cheer, definitely swing by to Imperial Measures this July.

Five bands will be performing throughout the day, with the headliner to be announced at 5:00pm today.

The current line-up includes Dojo Rise, Don’t Bring Stacey, Alright Psycho, and Lucas Day Band.
