On that note, Shut The Gate Wines is opening its Clare Valley Cellar Door this December with a series of limited lunch and dinner dates for your corporate Christmas function.
What sounds fancier than a festive feast amongst vineyards?
For $65pp, you will enjoy four courses courtesy of Auburn Smoke House Catering (ASH) who provide vibrant flavours in street food style from the Deep South, South American and Mexico.
They kick off with a roaming starter of cured salmon with preserved lemon and green olive salsa, followed by a sit down shared-style entrée, main, and dessert.
Entrées include beetroot hummus with burnt eggplant, chickpeas, and hand-rolled pita (v), as well as charred zucchini served with smoked ricotta and almonds (v).

For your mains you can expect charcoal chicken with green yoghurt and harissa (gf), grilled Cabrito lamb and chimichurri (gf), plus BBQ broccolini with lemon, feta, and Za’atar (gf, v).
Last, but absolutely not least, you’ll enjoy a honey and peanut butter ice cream sandwich for dessert — yes, please!
The crew are more than happy to cater to dietary requirements, just say the word when you book.
Drinks are charged on consumption and will include a range of five star Shut The Gate Wines pours, plus local beers, ciders, and soft drinks.
Lunch dates include Thursday 5th, Friday 6th, and Thursday 12th of December and start at 12pm. Dinner dates are Friday 13th and Saturday 14th, kicking off at 6:30pm.
