Christmas fun at Melba’s Chocolate with free activities for kids, food trucks, and more

Melba’s Chocolate are throwing an epic week of festive fun, featuring family entertainment, food trucks, and an endless supply of chocolate.

The festive season is well and truly in full swing, and shops across the state are getting in on the late-night trading action. Up at Woodside, the iconic Melba’s Chocolate factory has been transformed into a Christmas wonderland, with a range of kid-friendly entertainment, activities, and sweet treats for the whole family.

From December 16th to the 23rd, Melba’s Chocolate will be extending their trading hours to cater to Adelaide’s late-night shoppers, keeping the factory doors open until 10pm daily. During the week, they’re putting on an exciting roster of family entertainment, garden games, and food trucks.

The factory has been done up with Christmas-themed decor and festive treats, and they’ve even convinced Father Christmas himself to take a break from the North Pole to join in on the fun.

For kids, the daily free activities include face painting and balloon twisting from 5pm to 9pm, photos with Santa from 4pm to 8pm, and Garden Games including Giant Connect 4, Ring Toss, and Cornhole.

But that’s not all. Two food trucks will be on-site cooking up a storm for hungry shoppers. From December 17th to the 20th, Atomic Food will be serving up their modern Mediterranean dishes including burgers, halloumi bites, fish, and salads.

Then, from December 21st to the 23rd, Rollin Bites will be rolling their grill-on-wheels up to the Melba’s factory to offer burgers, chips, hot dogs, tacos, and pressed sandwiches. Both food trucks will be cooking from 3pm to 9pm daily.

And who could forget the most obvious food option: Melba’s Chocolate. The factory are intent on providing an “endless supply of chocolate and confectionary”, festive treats, and their iconic dreamy hot chocolate. The Melba’s team have rolled out their annual bounty of Christmas-themed choccies, including Christmas Speckles, Christmas mints, hampers, bags, and bon bons.

You can also visit the Melba’s Chocolate Dessert Bar and Shop in Angaston, Barossa Valley this weekend for more festive fun. There will be free face painting from 10am to 2pm on Saturday and Sunday, as well as free photos with Santa in the Melba’s Christmas Cave from 10am to 2pm.

Fusion Feast & Co will be parking their food truck on site for the whole weekend, serving up yiros, burgers, AB packs, chips and soft drinks.
