Cibo looks to Italy for the perfect Easter cake

CIBO Espresso has turned CIBO Espresso Colomba 2010to its Italian roots to perfect its Colomba – a traditional Easter cake.

CIBO Espresso directors Salvatore Pepe and Claudio Ferraro recently traveled to Italy where they met with one of the few remaining artisan bakers in the world, Teresio Busnelli, whose Colomba has become legendary in Italy.

Busnelli shared his knowledge with the two directors  who have returned to Adelaide with a refined Colomba just in time for Easter.

Colomba –  which is Italian for Dove – is baked in the shape of a dove.  It’s made from all natural ingredients, including flavouring from a mixture of citrus, honey and sugars and includes chocolate pieces for a modern twist.

The Colomba Chocolate is baked fresh at CIBO Espresso’s own Pasticceria daily. It's preservative free, gift boxed and available at all CIBO Espresso stores for $25.  Pre-orders are welcome.
