Cider walking trail coming soon the Adelaide Hills

Cider producer Paracombe Premium Perry are creating a whole new shed door experience where visitors can stroll the property and new trails with a cider in hand.

Cider producer Paracombe Premium Perry are creating a whole new shed door experience where visitors can stroll their Northern Adelaide Hills’ property and new trails with a cider in hand.

The new licensing will expand their current capacity from 50 to 100, and visitors will be able to enjoy their drinks while strolling the whole property from the orchids through to the shed door.

There will also be new self-guided walking trails which will be dotted with signage describing the history of the property and its different elements.

The unique vision is set to be available by the end of the year, after approval of new licensing and plans with council, state government and other bodies.

Paracombe Premium Perry CEO Damian McArdle says the expansion will create a whole new experience for visitors where before customers could only drink while at the orchid viewing area or lawn.

“The new plans will allow for more functions and an increase in capacity at the shed door,” Damian said.

“Also, it’s going to be licensing all of property so people can enjoy the property as a whole licensed area where they can go for a walk with the drink that was made in that area.”

“We now have the ability to allow more people to enjoy the rustic charm and we can accept the service of people that we have had to turn away in the past.”

At the Paracombe Premium Perry shed door, visitors can enjoy their ciders, Perry (which is an alcoholic drink made from fermented pears), juices and pear spirit.

The shed door has a wood oven pizza serving artisan sourdough pizzas including their pear and blue cheese pizza which won a Pome Fest award last year.

Visitors can also try their pear and lemon crumble dessert pizza, which is another signature dish that was an entry in the Pome Fest awards.

Damian McArdle established Paracombe Premium Perry in 2012 as a 4th generation pear grower and 1st generation Perry maker.

He has been making award-winning 100 per cent SA owned drinks for the past three years sourcing the tree-ripened pears from his family orchard, Chamberlain Orchards in Paracombe, South Australia.

Paracombe Premium Perry is located at 169 Murphy Rd, Paracombe SA 5132.
