Canadian musician City and Colour, acclaimed for his soulful folk tunes, is set to captivate Australian audiences in January 2025. The artist, whose real name is Dallas Green, will be joined by the dynamic ensemble Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats from the United States. This tour marks a significant first as both acts join forces to perform across Australia, promising a series of electrifying concerts.
The tour is scheduled to kick off at Brisbane’s Riverstage on Tuesday, 14 January, travelling through major cities including Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and wrapping up in Perth. Accompanying Green on the East Coast and Adelaide shows will be Australian musician Alex Lahey, while Caitlin Harnett & The Pony Boys will feature in Perth.
Tickets for the tour will be available initially through an exclusive pre-sale for Frontier Members starting from 10am on Tuesday, 24 September. The general public will have the opportunity to purchase tickets from 11am on Wednesday, 25 September, via Frontier Touring’s website.
Having previously toured Canada together, City and Colour and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats have already proven their combined live performance appeal, receiving high praise from critics. Reviews highlighted the shows as more than just music performances but emotional experiences, with phrases like “undeniable swagger” and “a cathartic performance” thrown around by notable Canadian publications.
City and Colour is no stranger to Australian stages; his 2023 tour saw rapid sell-outs and included memorable performances at the SummerSalt Festival. Dallas Green’s connection with the Australian audience is strong, with 2025 marking his nineteenth tour in the country. His latest album, “The Love Still Held Me Near,” released last year, has added more introspective and touching songs to his repertoire, showcasing his enduring talent for connecting with listeners through music.
Similarly, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats have not only toured previously but left a lasting impact with their vibrant shows that effortlessly blend soul and rock elements. Their latest album continues to build on their reputation with songs that mesh personal introspection with broader appeal.
