If your idea of the perfect night out involves big laughs and bold flavours, Curry with Comedy at ibis Adelaide has your winter sorted. This monthly series transforms the hotel’s kitchen and bar into a cosy comedy club, complete with steaming curries, cracking jokes and cheeky prizes.
If your perfect night out involves a belly full of curry and a belly full of laughs, ibis Adelaide has you covered with it’s comedy night series.
After a sell-out run during Adelaide Fringe, MC Comedy Hub returns on Saturday 20 September with a fast-paced comedy gameshow that pairs perfectly with steaming curries and cheeky fun.
“Following the success of our Fringe event, we wanted to create a night that felt authentic, fun, and a little unexpected,” says Danielle Lucas, Director of Sales and Marketing at Pullman and ibis Adelaide.
“Pairing curries with live comedy felt like the perfect match. Both are comforting, crowd-pleasing experiences. It also lets us show a playful and surprising side of the hotel right in the heart of the city.”
“Each event also features a free 30-minute pre-show in Hindi for ticket holders, adding an inclusive and vibrant start to the night.”
MC Comedy Hub has become known for its diverse and inclusive line-ups that connect with Adelaide’s Indian and multicultural communities. The show is designed to be welcoming, high-energy and full of heart.

Danielle says this approach aligns perfectly with the ibis spirit.
“We love creating events that feel warm and inviting, with a bit of quirkiness. There is a real sense of community in the room.”
Guests can indulge in a curry combo that includes either butter chicken or paneer tikka masala, served with basmati rice, fluffy naan and a drink.
For those who prefer other flavours, the ibis Kitchen and Bar menu is also available, with pizzas, steaks and lighter bites to keep everyone happy.

The highlight of the evening is not just the comedy but the playful audience games. Lucky winners take home bottles of organic wine, adding a touch of indulgence to the fun.
The atmosphere is as inviting with low lighting, intimate cabaret-style seating and the hum of laughter that carries through the night.
Danielle says guests often arrive not knowing quite what to expect but leave smiling. Many make new friends along the way.

It is a night that feels like an escape from the ordinary and a chance to enjoy something that is equal parts delicious and entertaining.
Comedy and Curry Night is an ideal choice for date nights, group outings or anyone looking for a winter experience that feels exclusive yet relaxed. With its mix of comfort food, inclusive entertainment and the chance to win something a little special, it is one of the city’s most charming evening escapes.
Whether you’re planning a fun date night or looking for an excuse to gather the gang, Comedy and Curry Night proves Adelaide doesn’t need to wait for Fringe season to enjoy a night full of flavour and fun.
