Adelaide’s City South Precinct is set to host an exciting array of cellar door experiences next weekend, offering locals and visitors alike a taste of regional flavours right in the heart of the city. The event, known as Vino & Vibes, will run from 12pm to 5pm on both Saturday, May 25, and Sunday, May 26. It promises a vibrant blend of wine, beer, and spirit tastings, complemented by live music and entertainment.
Across the precinct, eight different venues will participate, each presenting a themed tasting event that showcases their unique offerings. Locations include 55Ml, A Prayer for The Wild At Heart, Cafe Troppo, Gilbert Street Hotel, Hard Day’s Nights, Minor Works Community Centre, Prohibition Liquor Co, and Vitisculpture. Attendees can expect an immersive experience with the added convenience of free transport provided by local wine tour operator Vino & Beyond. Their service will run between the venues from 1pm to 4:30pm, allowing guests to explore freely without the hassle of transport.
In addition to tastings, many venues will feature live performances. For instance, the Prohibition Liquor Co is set to entertain visitors with DJ JD spinning funk and disco tracks from 1pm to 5pm on Saturday and Brian Ruiz with acoustic sets on Sunday afternoon. Similarly, Gilbert Street Hotel will host DJ Inkswel on Saturday and Cal Williams Jnr on Sunday. The vibrant musical offerings are perfectly paired with the venues’ extensive drink and food menus, enhancing the festival atmosphere.
Cafe Troppo will offer an intriguing assortment of $10 tasting flights from small-block producers in the Adelaide Hills like Jauma, No Mountain, Ada, and Family Wines. This will be paired with live music featuring Aidan J Jones on Saturday and Naomi Keyte on Sunday, providing a relaxed backdrop to the sophisticated tastings. Meanwhile, Vitisculpture will combine wine tasting with creative pursuits, offering a unique opportunity to engage in pottery-making while sampling wines from Woodstock Wines.

Entry to most venues is free, with the exception of a couple which are ticketed. This arrangement ensures accessibility and encourages participation from a wide range of visitors, aiming to draw both connoisseurs and casual enthusiasts alike.
