Clare Valley just got a little more exciting for gin lovers and visitors alike—Clare Valley Distillery is officially open! After a VIP celebration over the March long weekend, the doors are now wide open for locals and travellers to drop in.
Co-founder Katherine Nugent said “It was great to finally share this vision with so many.”
“Our new venue is so much more than just a tasting room; the distillery is a hub for celebration, connection and creativity. Plans are already in motion for creative writing retreats, author events, and pop-up dining experiences featuring some seriously talented chefs,” she added.
The grand opening set the tone, with the team from Watervale Hotel and Catering serving up an incredible menu to pair with the distillery’s signature spirits. Guests enjoyed a relaxed, welcoming vibe, getting their first taste of what’s sure to become a Clare Valley favourite.
More than just a sleek, modern and stunning spot for tasting top-tier gin, the new distillery is all about bringing people together. Katherine and fellow founders Guy Parkinson and Di Mayfield have created a beautiful space to represent the high-end and luxury brand.
Katherine acknowledged the amazing crew who helped bring the vision to life; GT Builders, Looka Design for the architectural flair, Josephine Marshall from One Rundle Trading for the stylish interior, Rob Cooper from Distinctive Gardens for the striking landscaping, and Parallax Design.
“At the heart of it all, the Clare Valley Distillery is about people, the ones crafting the gin and the ones enjoying it. With Grady Stanley leading the team, every visit to the new venue promises great drinks, warm hospitality, and plenty of good times,” Katherine said.
The distillery is open Friday to Monday, with extended hours on weekends, making it the perfect spot for a post-work wind-down or a leisurely Sunday session.
