When my friend messaged me saying she’d found us what was potentially the most gorgeous (yet quirky) accommodation in SA, I was certainly curious. The name – Bed in a Shed. We were heading to the Clare Valley Gourmet Weekend to help out at a friend’s wine stall and needed somewhere close and comfortable to stay.

Bed in a Shed and Bed in a Shed Too are luxury getaways situated in the glorious Clare Valley. The accommodation sits in an acreage vineyard property with vast views of the surrounding countryside.

We arrived at Bed in a Shed late on a Friday evening. It was cold and we were more eager than ever for a warm bed (and a glass of wine). Bed in a Shed did not disappoint. Artistic and quirky, the interior features corrugated iron walls and an eclectic mix of furniture that only adds to the cosiness. We were chuffed to discover the fridge held milk, juice and other breakfast supplies, and there was red wine from the vineyard on offer for a very reasonable price.

Book Bed in a Shed if you’re keen to get away from the hustle and bustle of home for a few nights. Clare is totally beautiful, and there’s no shortage of nearby wineries and highly acclaimed restaurants to check out. Recommendations include Shut the Gate Wines and Seed Winehouse + Kitchen.

Bed in a Shed is $225 per night.
