Cobbs Hill Collaborates on Long Lunch with Shōbōsho Chef

Award-winning Chef Adam Liston has partnered with Cobbs Hill Estate for a Long Lunch. The menu will include specialty dishes paired with premium wines.

Have you ever wanted to pair a delicious charcoal-grilled meal with premiere wine from the Adelaide Hills? If yes, you’re in luck.

Cobbs Hill Estate has planned a Long Lunch with Adam Liston, the highly regarded executive chef of Shōbōsho. Long-time business partners, the chef will be preparing a 3-course meal for guests with specially paired wines from the Cobbs Estate vineyards.

Liston is a well-established powerhouse of a chef, and his use of modified Japanese cooking techniques promises a culinary experience you won’t want to miss. His award-winning restaurant, Shōbōsho, combines wood ovens, hydraulic grills, and a customised yakitori pit to deliver a stunning interpretation of ancient Japanese dining.

For the location, Cobbs Hill Estate sits on a beautiful 250 acres of farmland, hosting 50 acres of vineyards and set amongst colourful botanic gardens. Some of the wines they have on offer include:

  • Sauvignon Blanc
  • Riesling
  • Chardonnay
  • Pinot Gris
  • Shiraz

Members of the Cobbs Hill team will be present to answer any questions guests may have for the history-rich estate, as well as provide insight as to the estate at large, which dates back to 1854.

With a ticket costing $95 per person, the event will include a 3-course meal prepared by Liston and his team, with selected wines that match well. The lunch will be held on the Estate’s marquee grounds, situated between what many consider to be the Adelaide Hill’s most beautiful gardens. With limited seating, be sure to book soon or risk missing out.

This Long Lunch will be a first for the winery, but with a specialist chef in attendance and a wide range of premium wines, this is one lunch you won’t want to miss.

Date: Sunday July 3rd at 12pm
