Collective Hub founder Lisa Messenger to open Adelaide Fashion Festival

News has just come in that game-changing entrepreneur, publisher and media identity Lisa Messenger will open this year’s Festival.

Lisa MessengerWith just days until the official launch of the 2016 Adelaide Fashion Festival (AFF) presented by Mercedes-Benz Adelaide, news has just come in that game-changing entrepreneur, publisher and media identity Lisa Messenger will open this year’s Festival.

The daring and disruptive lunch will allow guests the chance to learn from and about Lisa’s journey to become one of Australia’s most inspiring women and authors.

The festival will open on Wednesday 19 October 2016 with the Lisa Messenger event at the Mercedes-Benz Adelaide showroom.

Lisa said she was excited to return to Adelaide, connect with a new audience and share her experiences in the hope they will inspire and motivate others.

“I hope that guests take away a sense of self-belief they may not have had before, a feeling that absolutely anything is possible, as long as you follow your passion and know your “why”!” she said.

“Adelaide is an untapped destination for entrepreneurs, I’m aware there are more coworking spaces popping up, along with a lot of really successful global businesses all emerging from Adelaide.

“It may perhaps be because it’s a city that’s more affordable to live in compared to bigger cities like Melbourne and Sydney, so it’s a lot easier to start a business financially.”

Lunch will be prepared by an equally innovative industry leader; local chef and Tasting Australia creative director Simon Bryant will design a menu that challenges the way people experience food. “

This event is a fantastic opportunity for the public to hear from one of the country’s most successful and innovative businesswomen – who doesn’t want to absorb some of Lisa Messenger’s wisdom?

Adelaide Fashion Festival creative director Chris Kontos said. “Mercedes-Benz Adelaide is a fantastic supporter of the festival and it makes sense to see this emblematic brand paired with an extraordinary personality such as Lisa.”

The event celebrates the beginning of a significant three-year partnership with Mercedes-Benz Adelaide, building on the success of 2015 David Upton, Dealer Principle, Mercedes-Benz Adelaide was impressed with the total professionalism of the organising team and how the 2015 Adelaide Fashion Festival was executed.

“As a proudly South Australian owned company, Mercedes-Benz Adelaide is thrilled to be partnering with Adelaide Fashion Festival for the next three years and is really looking forward to hosting what is sure to be an exciting and fabulous lunch.”
