If you’re looking for, or know anyone who has lost their job after the recent demise of Scott’s Refrigerated Logistics, Collins Adelaide is hosting a careers expo next week where you can come and apply for a job in person.
Collins Adelaide’s careers expo is happening on Wednesday 15th of March between 5.00 pm and 7.00 pm at their site in Wingfield to help local South Aussies who have been left unemployed.
This special and unique event will open the gates for potential candidates to come in, submit their application in person, with the opportunity to fast track their application and attend an interview that evening.
On the evening, stations will be set up on site for anyone to register their interest and hand in a resume to apply for a job that Collins Adelaide are offering.
There will be seven different career types on offer at the expo, including linehaul MC drivers, local HC and MC drivers, forklift operators, administration staff, operational staff and are open to looking for the right people to work within the executive field.
On the night, there will be the opportunity to fill out a job application, following a standard fast-tracked interview process to be completed with executive management, in addition to a sausage sizzle and refreshments provided.
Spokesperson for Collins Adelaide, Heidi Rowe, agrees that this careers expo will provide an opportunity for those who are looking for a job in the transport and logistics sector.
“We are always on the lookout for great quality candidates,” Heidi says.
Collins Adelaide aim to do a bulk recruitment drive, and with the ability to fast track applications and conduct interviews on the night, are hoping to cut the recruitment time in half, if not more.
However, there is no need to worry if you can’t attend on the night, Collins Adelaide will be open to conducting interviews later on after the expo!
The free expo is open to everyone who have adequate and aligned experience in the transport business, as most of the operational roles require a license to operate and the administrative roles preferably require some knowledge of the transport logistics industry.
