Colour Cosmetica’s Fashion design students showcased their unique couture shirts on Saturday evening 2 July at Hotel Tivoli.
The very intimate parade was opened by a cabaret performance welcoming guests to the delightful evening.
The image management student’s task was to create a couture shirt in either black or white. Students had to create a theme and produce a unique design to support the theme of their shirt. Although the designers were restricted with only two colours to work with, their creativity and imagination was evident and was illustrated with the over the top designs. Materials such as satin, lace and leather were very popular; and other interesting materials such as feathers, chains and fishnet was used.
The venue was set out elegantly creating a relaxed atmosphere, giving the night a magical feel. Guests very much enjoyed the fashion show as well as the entertaining cabaret performances throughout the night.
