As if there wasn’t another reason to visit the Fringe.
Enter Comida Buena Onda. The brand new pop-up restaurant in the heart of Gluttony that oozes charm and style.
It’s a little fine-dining lakeside oasis just a stones throw away from the hustle and bustle of Festival time.

Comida Buena Onda is fully serviced and set with glassware, cutlery and linen, providing a point of difference to the food trucks next door. It’s seriously beautiful.
The team has developed an innovative ‘Feed Me’ menu at $69PH, plus an all-vegetarian option. The menu, which is set to change weekly, is mouth watering. There’s the mushroom and Manchego cheese croqueta, and the Kingfish ceviche with a burnt cucumber dressing and potato cracker.

For mains, the eggplant and pomegranate, with buckwheat and baba ganoush is a must try for the vego lover. Or there’s the nomad farms chicken, with green tomato chimichurri, cooked over a custom-built fire pit, giving it a distinct, smoky flavour.
The wine list includes a number of local wines and some international selections, as well as Sangria available by glass or carafe.
The site, which is situated on the lake in the middle of Rymill Park, has never been operational for evenings during Fringe. However, with the existing cafe having closed, and a redevelopment penned for later this year, it’s the perfect time for a pop-up.

The restaurant is Fringe’s first ever pop-up restaurant by an existing and established venue.
The restaurant will operate six nights a week, from Tuesday to Sunday, for the duration of the Adelaide Fringe.
