Wellness is officially having its moment, and Adelaide’s newest entrant into the market is taking it to another level. Opening later this month in Holden Hill, Svasa Stillness is a “luxury yet nurturing” yoga, pilates, and meditation studio designed as a peaceful sanctuary for people to reset, recharge, and reconnect.
The name Svasa comes from Sanskrit, meaning “breathe” and that’s exactly what this space is about.
“I wanted to create a place where people could focus on their physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing,” says founder Anmool, a former pilot who turned to spirituality and meditation after being diagnosed with endometriosis during COVID.
“I realised I wasn’t really taking care of myself fully – Svasa Stillness grew from that journey.”
It’s a story that fits right into the global shift toward holistic health. Across the fitness industry, “thrash yourself” workouts are being swapped for slower, more intentional practices that nourish the mind and body equally. Svasa embraces that shift in full. Classes weave mindfulness and connection into movement, with guided breathwork, sound healing and meditation sessions into the weekly schedule.
“We don’t just focus on movement – we focus on presence,” Anmool says. “Every class is designed to help members reconnect with themselves, slow down, and find balance beyond the physical.”
A team of highly trained instructors will lead all sessions in person, with morning classes from 6am, lunchtime pilates, and evenings from 5pm.
“Members can get personal guidance, encouragement, and human connection that technology can’t replace,” says Anmool.
Inside, there’s a pilates room fitted with 10 reformers (each with towers for deeper, more versatile exercises) and a serene yoga and meditation room for up to 12 mats. There’s also a cozy kitchenette with a coffee machine and mini fridge, accessible toilets, and communal facilities for members to relax and chat post-class.

The space is created to feel “warm, grounding and homely, while still offering a high-end wellness experience,” Anmool tells us. Natural light will spill in, and a calming neutral palette will help members feel relaxed as soon as they step inside.
Community is central to Svasa’s vision. Alongside the regular schedule of yoga, pilates and meditation, the studio plans to introduce workshops, wellness events, and even kids’ classes starting early next year. Anmool also plans to offer specialty programs for people with specific needs like rehabilitation, joint health or improving functional mobility.
And it gets even better. Svasa is offering a founder’s membership sale, where anyone who signs up between November 8 and 14 can secure unlimited yoga, pilates and meditation for just $77.70 a fortnight for life. It might just be the best-value pilates deal in Adelaide right now, but you’ll have to be quick.
It’s easy to feel intimidated or vulnerable in a group fitness setting, but talk to Anmool and it’s clear Svasa isn’t chasing trends. The decision to start the studio came from a deeply altruistic place – to create a safe, supportive environment where members feel seen and valued. Svasa is designed as a sanctuary first and a studio second.
