A family-run Vietnamese restaurant is expanding into Adelaide’s east, with plans to open its second location on Kensington Road by the end of the month.
An Nam Quan, which was founded by husband-and-wife team Winnie Vuong and Arthur Nguyen, has built a loyal following with recipes inspired by Winnie’s childhood and a menu centred on the Vietnamese tradition of com nhau – sharing meals with family and friends.
The business originally launched as Snazzi Saigon in 2023 before rebranding as An Nam Quan in October last year, marking a new chapter for the restaurant while maintaining its focus on authentic flavours and hospitality.

Winnie, who trained as a pastry chef at TAFE and previously worked in Adelaide venues including Gin Long Canteen and Madame Hanoi, said the rebrand also allowed her to pursue a long-held ambition.
“I’m a pastry chef by background, but when we opened, I didn’t have time to focus on desserts – now I finally get to bring in my dream dessert menu,” she said when the original An Nam Quan opened.
The exact same menu will be brought over to the new venue which is located at 236 Kensington Rd, Marryatville, with the new restaurant carrying over all of the favourites that made the Hawthorn venue popular.
Amongst the dishes are slow-simmered noodle soups, crispy roast pork, banh mi, rice bowls, as well as share-style dishes such as Vietnamese shaking beef, crispy barramundi with green apple salad and chilli lemon, and crispy stir-fried roast pork in spicy red curry.
The drinks menu also features their signature Vietnamese iced coffee with cold foam, lychee iced tea, coconut taro cloud lattes, and creative matcha drinks.
Winnie’s husband and business partner Arthur Nguyen said the expansion has been long needed as their popularity continues to grow.
“We’re capped by our kitchen, so we can’t do anything more in the current shop unless we open another shop,” he said.

“But this is going to have the same brand, same menu, same everything.”
The new location does introduce one notable addition, with the Marryatville venue operating under a liquor licence.
“I’ve been looking for a location for quite some time trying to find a great fit,” Nguyen said.
“We don’t want a franchise, we still want a family business,” he said.
The new location will also bring over the venue’s specials, including a $19.50 lunch special featuring a banh mi, two spring rolls and a drink, along with group dining deals for larger bookings.
