COMING SOON: Bottega Gelateria opening third store in Inner North

Bottega Gelateria have announced they are opening a third store, expanding their offering of their handcrafted gelato around Adelaide.

The handcrafted gelato artisans Bottega Gelateria have announced they are opening a third store in Prospect this October.

Bottega has two existing stores: one on Glenelg’s Jetty Road, a place where Bottega owner Adriano Macri has fond memories of visiting with his mother as a child for ice cream, and their debut store in Henley Beach.

Bottega Gelateria describe themselves as ‘guardians of an old world process’ and believe making gelato is a ‘lost art,’ with raw ingredients once used in real artisan gelato making rarely seen in today’s industrialised world.

Bottega’s authentic gelato is made using a slow culinary method which brings scores of loyal customers through their doors, along with their showpiece: a hot chocolate tap that drizzles delicious, warm dark chocolate over your gelato.

Instead of creating a mass of gelato flavours, Bottega has taken the more minimalist route, creating a ‘culinary style’ of gelato and sorbetto with their 16 flavours each handcrafted fresh in store daily.

They offer classic gelato along with sorbet and vegan gelato with flavours ranging from traditional vanilla, lemon, strawberry, and pistachio to more adventurous tastes such as coffee, golden kiwi and pink grapefruit.

Bottega’s signature look is a soft, pastel aesthetic with custom-made terrazzo baltic pine flooring, which gives a nod to the old-school pozzetti, the secret to Bottega’s incredible artisan gelati. 

Their classic gelato is made with pasteurised full cream South Australian milk and pure cream supplied by Fleurieu Milk Co. Made without industrial ingredients, artificial flavours, synthetic emulsifiers and colourings, Bottega is proud to offer products made using pure ingredients.

Supporting local farmers is also important to Bottega, only sourcing fresh seasonal fruits for their refreshing sorbet flavours.

The opening hours of the two current Bottega Gelateria stores are:
Tuesday to Thursday: 1:30pm – 10pm
Friday: 1:30pm – 10:30pm
Saturday: 12:30pm – 10:30pm
Sunday: 12:30pm – 10pm.
