A brand new Indian fusion kitchen and bar is set to open its doors mid-April in Kensington Park. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Fitoor – Fusion Kitchen + Bar is an exciting addition to Adelaide’s culinary scene, promising to offer authentic Indian food with a twist.

“We’re going to have chicken tikka rice paper rolls, butter chicken with burrata cheese, a chicken tikka burger, butter chicken bao buns… stuff like that. Indian authenticity, but a bit of fusion,” Director and Chef Maheep Singh says.

Fitoor – Fusion Kitchen + Bar is the first of its kind in Adelaide adding a sense of anticipation for foodies, with the restaurant to bring something fresh to the local dining landscape.

It’s the first restaurant Chef Maheep Singh has ever opened, after gaining culinary experience from around the world. Presently working at the renowned Adelaide Casino, Maheep has learnt the art of modern cuisine which he will be combining with his Indian heritage, and showcasing at his restaurant.

Fitoor – Fusion Kitchen + Bar is not just focused on top-tier quality food and dishes but also on crafting excellent beverages. With a team of professional bartenders, mixologists, and baristas onboard, the restaurant aims to offer a comprehensive modern dining experience.

The real cream of the crop is that it’s not just late night dining – breakfast will be served from 7:30am until lunchtime before the kitchen closes and re-opens again for dinner at 5pm.

Located in the heart of Adelaide’s eastern suburbs and the prime location of Magill Road, Kensington Park, the owners hope to see the restaurant open sometime mid-April with the final touches being added.

“I was always keen to open my first restaurant on Magill Road or somewhere in the eastern suburbs because I see a lot of potential in the eastern market. I conducted my research on which location would be best to support myself and obviously to provide the customers with the right service,” Maheep Singh explains.

“When they [customers] walk in, it’s going to be eye-catching, it’s going to be aesthetic, it’s going to be quite modern and rustic.”

It’s always thrilling to see new culinary ventures emerge in Adelaide, especially when they promise to deliver innovative flavours and dining experiences.

Chef Maheep wanted the name of his restaurant to represent his commitment to serving up an incredible dining experience with ‘Fitoor’ being an Arabic or Hindi word meaning extreme passion towards something.

Foodies are encourage to keep an eye out for Fitoor – Fusion Kitchen + Bar’s grand opening in mid-April to experience Indian fusion like never before.
