Just a short walk from Christies Beach will be Primrose Lane, a British and European style coffee shop opened by sister duo Alex and Jess. On a mission to create a unique, cosy and magical shop in the south, the sisters are set to open their little spot on October 12th. Promising artisan eats, amazing coffee, boutique shopping and a place for community events – all at this beach cafe.
“We’re honoured to pay homage to our British roots! Primrose Lane is lovingly named after our Grandmothers house in Bristol, where together we made many cherished memories in the most magical cottage and garden” the sisters took to their Facebook page.
“We were raised with strong values of community, soul food, family and music, and we can’t wait to pay that forwards and host you in our heart place – Primrose Lane!”
“We want Primrose Lane to be a place where inspiration and ideas flow, people gather, make memories, eat and be merry. We believe our environment plays a huge part in how we feel and we didn’t want to create another blank, minimalist and modern space.”
“We wanted something with heart and soul, as unique as each person who enters and shares with us, big or small.”
Taking inspiration from their childhood and background, the sisters used this space to tell their story aiming to make everyone feel at home.
“Our children’s play corner is a take on our own Gran’s cottage where we made so many happy memories growing up. We have carefully sourced and created everything we offer,” they continue to share.
“Primrose Lane is a utopia where we get the opportunity to enjoy sharing our heritage and history with everyone. We strive to create a welcoming, warm and friendly environment for all our guests. We just can’t wait to begin!”
Primrose is proudly offering, and is the only shop in South Australia, stocking a full range of Ancient Earth clothing that has a major focus on sustainability and ethics.
“At Primrose Lane we don’t just sell local SA brands and coffee, we also hand source every piece within our boutique from the best and most ethical artisans we can find, spreading our commitment to community across the globe” the sisters say.
There will be live music this Saturday from 10am to 12pm to celebrate their grand opening, so make sure to go grab a coffee and check out the new Primrose Lane!
