Calling all Adelaide hotpot lovers! There’s a new spot rolling into town this autumn, and it’s one you’re going to want to add to your list of places to check out.
If you’re anything like me, there’s nothing better than a big bowl of hotpot in the cooler months. Opening this April, Little Ladle Hotpot will be the newest dining destination in Adelaide’s west.

Little Ladle Hotpot is preparing to welcome its first diners this April, bringing an interactive hotpot experience to Westfield West Lakes, adding another exciting chapter to the area’s growing reputation for standout Asian dining.
Opening on Level 1 near Nando’s, the restaurant will have a warm and lively atmosphere where diners can create their own customised hotpot. Guests will be able to select different broths, ingredients and flavours to suit their mood, making the experience totally customisable.
Hotpot has become more and more popular across Adelaide in recent years, and it’s simple to see why. The style of dining is flexible, social and delicious, making it perfect for everything from family dinners to catch-ups with friends.
“It’s a place where friends and families can come together to enjoy a dining experience that’s as much about connection as it is about food,” shared Little Ladle Hotpot owner and manager, Michael Du. “Little Ladle offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere that captures the essence of comfort and community dining.”

When dining at Little Ladle Hotpot, the experience starts with the broth. Diners can choose from a selection of tasty soup bases, including tomato, mushroom and the tangy Thai-inspired tom yum. For those looking for something with a little more kick, the menu will also feature the ever-popular Sichuan malatang, which has a rich, milky broth traditionally made from slow-cooked beef or pork bones and paired with bold flavours like chilli bean paste and Sichuan peppercorns.
After choosing a base, diners then build their own hotpot creation by selecting from an impressive range of fresh ingredients, with marinated meats, seafood and vegetables prepared daily. Lovers of Malatang will also be able to enjoy a dry stir-fry hotpot option, delivering the same flavours without the broth.
The menu will also include side dishes that complement the signature hotpot. There will be favourites like crispy fried youtiao pastry, which is ideal for dipping, hollow sesame doughnuts and other snack-style items to perfectly pair with your meal.

With doors set to open this April, Little Ladle is sure to bring a fresh and easy dining option to the western suburbs.
