Wishing to get your hands on authentic Japanese food but aren’t willing to hop on a plane? Mile End’s newest cafe YUNA is set to satisfy that craving.
The Henley Beach road cafe and restaurant boasts a welcoming but not overwhelming space, something owner Mia Zhang set out to do.
“We wanted to create a space where people could come in a just enjoy the food and each other,” Mia said.
“The space also represents Japanese culture with the cool tones, exposed timber and the concrete. We’re really happy with how it’s turned out.”
It’s important to note that this isn’t just another brunch spot in Adelaide. Yes, you will be able to grab a delicious coffee in the morning, but YUNA is much more than that.

The team will be serving Japanese style sandos. Think along the lines of juicy, thick, crunchy chicken in between two pieces of deliciously crafted milk bread (or shokupan as it’s more traditionally known).
YUNA will also be serving fresh onigiri which will be perfect for those who are not looking to commit to a huge meal or afternoon treat.
The cafe will also have a wide range of locally made pastries to pair with a cup of ONA coffee, who are one of the leading coffee roasters in the country. It can’t get much better than that right?
The team are currently in the midst of their soft launch, working hard to put on the finishing touches before welcoming more Adelaidean’s through their doors. But, you won’t have to wait long before getting your hands on the full menu.

“The kitchen is ready to go, we are just waiting on our gas connection, so hopefully by the end the week we will be ready to go,” Mia said.
“Our lunch menu will have a variety of items on it and there will also be a sharing menu which will be perfect if you want a bit of everything.
“We will also be serving sake though-out the day and once we settle in we will also look to host dinners across the weekend which will be great.”
