Popular Lebanese restaurant Zayt & Zaatar is set to open its third South Australian location on Rundle Street, bringing its Middle Eastern cuisine to Adelaide’s CBD. This new venue follows the success of their Campbelltown and West Lakes restaurants, which have earned a loyal following for their family-friendly vibe and delicious dishes.
In a post to their new Rundle Street Facebook page, Zayt & Zaatar said: “We are delighted to announce the upcoming opening of our new Zayt & Zaatar restaurant in the heart of Adelaide on Rundle Street.
“Soon, you’ll be able to enjoy a full dining experience that celebrates the authentic flavour and traditions of the Middle East. From handcrafted breads to exquisite grilled dishes and vibrant salads, each dish is thoughtfully prepared to bring you a true taste of our heritage.
“Join us soon for a warm and welcoming experience that’s perfect for sharing with friends and family.”
Founded by Chef Imad, who is passionate about preserving his family’s culinary heritage, Zayt & Zaatar is dedicated to serving up traditional, authentic Lebanese dishes that are bursting with flavour. The restaurant’s name, inspired by a popular Lebanese snack, reflects the connection between food and family that is central to Lebanese culture.
Chef Imad’s expertise in Lebanese cooking are showcased in every dish. Their menu includes traditional staples like falafel, chicken and lamb skewers, kafta kebabs, and barramundi harrah. They also serve up steaks and pizzas, but with a unique twist, such as marinated lamb pizza and chicken fajita pizza. Plus, for those dining with a larger group, Zayt & Zaatar offer generous sized banquets for sharing.
The new Rundle Street location is expected to be similar to their other spots, with a focus on fresh ingredients, bold spices, and Lebanese flavours, from sauces rich with garlic, olive oil, and lemon juice, to a range of seafood, lamb, and vegetable dishes.
