COMING SOON: Myer Centre to undergo major transformation in Rundle Mall

It’s the news that many shoppers have been waiting for. The Myer Centre in Rundle Mall will undergo a massive transformation this year.

The Myer Centre is upgrading the facade of the building in a move that is set to enhance your shopping experience. The new facade will be modern, sleek, and visually attractive that stands out along Rundle Mall.

The centre is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable shopping experience for all our customers, and this upgrade is just one way they are fulfilling that promise.

A representative of the Myer Centre said “We’re thrilled to announce the completion of the Centre’s Stage 1 north, east & western facade upgrades to the building and the commencement of the final stage (Stage 2) upgrades of our building to enhance our customers shopping experience.”

You can expect to see construction commencing in early April, with completion scheduled to be late 2023.

It comes after news that Myer was threatening to move out of the iconic Adelaide Myer Centre, telling their landlords that the building had deteriorated.

Operating for over 30 years, Myer Centre Adelaide is one of Adelaide’s most iconic buildings and the largest shopping centre in the Adelaide CBD. It is home to the largest Myer department store in South Australia, an underground food court and more than 80 specialty retailers.

Set over six levels and fronting onto the iconic Rundle Mall, national retailers within the centre include brands such as UNIQLO, W Cosmetics, Lush, Review, Daiso, Platypus Shoes and Toyworld. Myer Centre Adelaide also has its own underground car park accommodating 467 cars.

The Myer Centre underwent a significant upgrade during 2013 and 2014, including a complete refurbishment of the Myer department store and Rundle Mall finishes.
