“Your table, your community, your Cottage.” – Cottage Kitchen
A new restaurant, Cottage Kitchen, is set to open in North Adelaide this November, celebrating sustainability and South Australian pride. Locally owned and operated by the Culshaw family, known for their Majestic Hotels brand, the restaurant will showcase the best regional produce and flavours. Opening its doors at 6:30am, Cottage Kitchen will be the first restaurant in the area to offer early breakfasts and will remain open for lunch and dinner late into the night.

Cottage Kitchen invites everyone to experience the beauty of Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, sustainable practices, and authentic connections in a cosy, charming setting. Nestled off Wellington Square, Cottage Kitchen offers a dining experience that feels like home, where every meal is a celebration of local pride and shared connections.

Sustainability is at the heart of Cottage Kitchen’s mission. The restaurant goes above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of its operations is environmentally responsible. All takeaway containers are home compostable, and diners can choose to purchase ceramic takeaway coffee cups for reuse. Cottage Kitchen will also be using a milk keg system from Fleurieu Milk Company, which is expected to help prevent eight tonnes of plastic waste this year.
“From our kitchen to your table, we prioritise environmental responsibility. Our takeaway offerings feature 100% compostable and biodegradable packaging made from renewable materials,” the Cottage Kitchen team says.
At Cottage Kitchen, diners will enjoy a family-style dining experience that blends Mediterranean flavours with locally sourced ingredients – all from South Australian producers. Their mission is simple: to create shared moments of family and community over delicious, flavourful food.
Menu highlights include a grilled zucchini salad with burrata and capsicum, both gluten-free and vegetarian, as well as a lamb rack seasoned with Moroccan spices and topped with a mint gremolata from the Eyre Peninsula, which is also gluten-free and lactose-free. For beverages, there will be a selection of South Australian wines, showcasing the best from Eden Valley, Barossa, Adelaide Hills, and beyond.

Cottage Kitchen is housed in a beautifully converted 19th-century cottage. Inside, you’ll find bright, airy dining spaces that are flooded with natural light. The spacious front deck offers a perfect spot for al fresco dining under umbrellas, with heaters for those cooler months.
“Your table, your community, your Cottage” reflects the restaurant’s commitment to being a welcoming space where people come together to enjoy life’s simple pleasures.
Cottage Kitchen captures the heart of South Australian hospitality, inviting you to be part of something truly special.
